AI & LLM Reputation Management

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Gemini, and Claude are now deciding what people think about you before anyone ever lands on your website. We make sure what they say is completely accurate, fresh, and works in your favour.

What AI Says Is What People Believe

For a long time, your online reputation lived and died on the front page of Google. People searched your name, looked over ten blue links, and made up their minds. That era is disappearing.

Today, the very first thing a recruiter, investor, journalist, or potential client sees is a block of text written by an AI. ChatGPT summarises your life. Perplexity picks out the facts it thinks matter. Google's AI Overview turns your search results into a confident answer. None of these tools just hand over ten links and let the reader figure it out. They blend everything together, simplify it, and quite often get it wrong.

If an outdated news article, an incorrect claim, or a missing Wikipedia page feeds that system, the AI's mistake becomes the absolute truth for anyone who asks. Once a few engines agree on a description of you, it spreads everywhere. Different AI tools start quoting each other, and new models train on those exact same mistakes.

Our job is to step in and make sure that the summary is correct, updated, and shows who you actually are. See our deeper guide on AI reputation management for the underlying mechanics.

Four Layers of AI Reputation Work

01

AI Sentiment Audit

We start by running the exact same searches across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Gemini, and Claude. We pull the exact paragraphs they generate about you to find factual errors, bad angles, and missing context. This lets you see what the AI is telling people before a client or recruiter beats you to it.

02

Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)

Next, we fix up your content so the AI models actually pick it up as their main source. We use clear factual layouts that language models love to copy, add background data signals, and place content on the exact high-authority sites these engines trust most.

03

Wikipedia & Wikidata Alignment

Wikipedia is a massive part of this because it is the heaviest source used to train these models. If Wikipedia has the wrong story, the AI will get you wrong for years. We check your background, write neutral entries if you qualify, fix live errors through the right channels, and clean up the Wikidata profiles that feed search panels directly. 04

Ongoing Monitoring & Iteration

These AI summaries change from week to week as the platforms tweak their logic and rank new sites. Because of that, we check your searches every single month to catch any drifts, update your content, and keep the answers consistent.

How We Work

From Inaccurate Summary to Aligned Authority

1

Audit week one

We run a complete cross-engine sentiment audit across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI, Gemini, and Claude. This gives you a detailed report showing exactly what each engine says about you, where they disagree with each other, and which specific source pages they are leaning on to build their answers.

2

Build weeks two to eight

We launch a full generative engine optimisation content build. This includes a Wikipedia notability case if you qualify, structured data and schema rollout, citation work on high-authority domains, and strategic owned-content publishing.

3

Monitor ongoing

Once that is set up, we do monthly AI sentiment re-runs. We flag the specific engines that have drifted, identify exactly which source change caused that drift, and iterate on the content. AI engines update much faster than Google, so our work adapts just as quickly.

AI Reputation Questions

What is AI reputation management?

AI reputation management is simply the practice of changing how generative AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Gemini, and Claude describe you or your business. It takes traditional reputation work and blends it with generative engine optimisation, structured data setups, Wikipedia notability tracking, and publishing clear content across the exact sources these LLM models cite.

What is Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)?

Generative engine optimisation is the process of building and tweaking your online content so AI tools easily find it, cite it, and quote it. While old-school SEO focuses entirely on winning those standard blue links on a search page, GEO targets the blended text summaries that AI tools write for users. They overlap a bit, but GEO cares much more about different signals like citation weight, structured data, fresh sources, and plain factual statements.

Can you remove false statements from ChatGPT or Gemini?

You can, but you have to do it indirectly. There is no delete button for an AI tool since they build answers from their training data and live web lookups. To change what they say about you, you have to change the source pages they read. This means pushing down old articles, ranking accurate text, fixing Wikipedia mistakes, and aligning your background data. Over a few weeks, the AI summaries will follow those changes.

How long does AI reputation management take?

AI tools actually update their summaries much faster than Google shifts its standard search results. For platforms like Perplexity that search the live web, you can see changes within days of a source update. For ChatGPT, it usually takes two to four weeks, while Google's AI Overviews take longer because they stick close to normal search rankings. Generally, turning your whole AI footprint around takes about 8 to 14 weeks.

Does Repflection edit AI training data directly?

No, and no legitimate provider can. Training data is completely fixed at the point a model is trained. Instead, what we influence is what the engine finds and cites when a user types a query, as well as what is available for the company to scrape in their next major training cycle. Wikipedia is unusually high-leverage here because it is so heavily weighted in almost every language model training dataset.

Is AI reputation work different from traditional ORM?

It overlaps a lot, but they are not identical. Traditional ORM focuses on Google's blue-link results and works entirely on visibility and search rankings. On the other hand, AI reputation work targets the blended paragraph that an AI engine writes about you, which depends on completely different signals like schema markup, source authority, citation patterns, factual structuring, and Wikipedia data. Most clients honestly need both.
